Degree Requirements
Full-time MPA
The curriculum, designed to be completed in two years of full-time study, combines three essential components of professional development:
- A minimum of 44 semester hours of credit, consisting of rigorous core classes on the theory and practice of public management and elective courses from selected fields of interest. View a typical first and second year MPA course schedule.
- Completion of a summer-long management internship in a position with meaningful administrative responsibilities.
- Completion of a portfolio during the final semester of study, including a comprehensive oral exam.
